my friend has genital herpes and is also diabetic. i accidentally poked myself with one of her needles. she wasnt having an outbreak or anything but is there any way it could have spread????

I hear this was not true and that you could pass it at anytime but someone on Y/A who says they had genital herpes for 5 years said it can not be pass from one person to another unless a cold sore is present.

My BFF has HSV 1 & HSV 2. She’s on Valtrex but still gets mad breakouts. Is there anything she can do to make the virus dormant? My BFF is 17 and had this virus for a few months.

In this case, could he still transmit the virus to partners?

Have you told your partner about your virus? What was their reaction? How many partners have you told and how many quick talking to you? What are you ages? Do you think this plays a role in the reaction?

I am curious, what strain hurts more. Or are they the same type pain. I had herpes sypmtoms about a year and five months ago and my blood test came back negative. I am thinking maybe I got hsv 1 and they did not dectect it. Any input.

I have oral herpes. I take Acyclovir 800mg 3x a day as needed. I’m wondering if it hill suppress the virus so I don’t have outbreaks? Thanks
