For you all who has genital herpes and got your true first outbreak (means you didnt have HSV-1 and HSV-2 antibodies beforehand). How painful/severe was the symptom, how long, and what were the recurrences like? How long before the recurrences gets less? Did you have to be hospitalized/off from work?

I’m dating a girl with herpes and would like to know if I got it how it feels like……

I guess it’s not extremely unusual but I’ve been with my girfriend for little bit now and I had sex with someone before her. Now I am seeing some red marks on my penis and she is saying she feels dryness in her. So my question is, what are symptoms of herpes for women besides visual sores. And also, how long after I contracted it could I give it to her. Because I know you have to wait 3 months after exposure to get tested for it. How long is it before it can be passed on to someone else after contracting it (hour, days, years)?

I know it varies but generally? and do herpes sores always burst? could they just dissapear? how long would they be in your vagina for?

Is it possible that a man can show no symptoms of genital herpes even after a year?
Does this mean that he doesn’t have genital Herpes?

just wanna be sure cause im 16 and have a pimple ( i think) in my balls.

because i have a felling that i caught hsv-1 type and i got a pimple type sore next to my lip. i’ve had it for about a week and its already going away. but my throat barely started hurting today and i’m getting alot of saliva…they say swollen lymph nodes and lots of saliva are symptoms. so is it possible that i have herpes even if i barely got symptoms at the end of a breakout?? please help answer my question.

I know that not everyone shows symptoms of genital herpes, but if someone has cold sores, wouldn’t they show symptoms of genital herpes if they had them?

i got my blood drawn but i’m still waiting for results. he and i never had sex just fingering and he had no herpes symptoms and had never been sexually active before me, or me before him. is it possible i have it still?

The morning after having sex I had a small, raised red sore about 1 cm long on the shaft of my penis. It isn’t painful or sensitive, and I’m hoping it could just be irritated skin or possibly an infection. I plan on seeing a doctor tomorrow but I’m very anxious about it.

Im curious to know if i have genital herpes as well but the doctor said i would need to have a sore to swab for genital herpes. But I did go to the doctors.

when did you guys get symptoms?

and when did your first outbreak occur from initial contact.

the only symptom ive had was a sore throat. but thats it.
