This is my FOURTH time having this.I was wondering if it is excema,herpes simplex,or allergies.

Last week I was sick with the flu, this week I get a small pimple on my lip, I messed with it and it looked like it was healing. Then, the next day, it was inflamed with blisters on it. How did this all come about, did I have to get exposed to the herpes simplex 1 or what? How many other people get these?

Can Herpes simplex (h1) be spread through a pimple? What if the pimple is open?
Be descriptive please.
Spreading by touching the sore, then touching a pimple after wards.

I am not to worried about herpes simplex 1. However I have heard that herpes simplex 2 can affect the mouth. Can you be affected by kissing someone who has herpes simplex 2?

they aren’t cracked but they are red and very itchy, and it is embarrassing, it isn’t herpes simplex. I do wash my face so i don’t think it is bacterial, although it could be but i do not know. any help?
It doesn’t hurt, so i don’t think it is angular chelitis. nor do i have any cut looking, and it has been happening for over a month. so i don’t know if im wrong or if you are, but just added details.

The other day my lips swelled up and got very red, almost purple at one point, so i went to the doctor and he looked at me for about 5 secs and said it looked like some coldsores (Herpes Simplex 1) and perscribed me Valtrex and Zovirax Ointment. That was 5 days ago and my lips still hurt. And I was under the impression that cold sores were single spots, while this is my entire lips. Do you think I was misdiagnosed?

so i just found about the cold sores and herpes simplex type 1 information.
i been having a cold sore for a really long time…
does this mean i have the virus forever in my system?
do i go to the doctor if it’s that serious ?

Hi all, I have cold sores on my face, have had them for like 5 years now. My outbreaks seem to be getting worse so I decided to read more up on them. well I was looking on wikipedia and read an interesting paragraph about seroconversion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herpes_simplex (when you have cold sores on your face they can’t spread to anywhere else on your body like eyes, hands etc…)

I was wondering how this could be so?

They did a fine job spreading around my mouth.. Why would they be able to spread from one patch of skin on my face to another but not to a patch of skin elsewhere?

I know that you’re body builds antibodies supposedly once you get the infection already, but this doesn’t explain why it still spreads to other parts of my face.

I always kind of used logic and thought that it didn’t spread to anywhere else on my body because my skin is thicker/less sensitive, and have always just been really careful around my weiner, but now I hear about this..

i lost my virginity to this girl i had sex with i had unprotected sex a few times with her. now a few weeks later i have these little clear dotted bumps in a little line on the ring of my penis. the doctors sad it might be herpes simplex. my last result sad that my red blood cell appear unremarkable and ever since that test i didn’t,t have sex. i got these bumps on my groin to but they look like hair bumps. the bumps are not itching/ no sores/ no redness/ no cold sores. its just there on the ring of my penis what could it be
