I currently have my first (documented) cold sore (I may have had one before, a long time ago, but I can’t really remember. I certainly never sought treatment for one before). This is new to me, and I must confess to being a bit worried. I mean, how much is this going to derail my life? I realise that to have a cold sore is to have Herpes Simplex virus, and that worries the hell out of me. I have read that it is very common, and indeed, there are many simple, over-the-counter medications out there to relieve cold sores, so that tells me as well that they are very common. Still, I can’t remember ever having had one. Does this mean that I’m going to have to give a full health disclosure to every woman I intend kiss, for the rest of my life? I can think of few things that could as efficiently ruin the heat of a moment. How does one live with this? Am I really the diseased leper that I feel like at the moment?

I used to get Brazilian waxes regularly and developed severe folliculitis from them (I picked the ingrown hairs). I didn’t think anything of the ingrowns until the redness and pussing (tmi) started to spread, and now I have bad ingrowns, pussing, and red irritation over the entire pubic area. I know for a fact this is not herpes as doctors have checked.
I am getting laser hair removal on the sides, and this has almost entirely eliminated the infection. But in the middle, it is still there, and won’t go away.
I have seen my doctor many times over this, and she put me on cephalexin for 20 days (3 pills a day), while putting Bactroban cream on the surface of my skin. It really didn’t help at all.

I have quit shaving and waxing the center area, which bothers me, but I have to. But surely there must be SOME form of prescription medication that works?
Please help if you have any useful info. Thank you.

Within the past 6 months I had MRSA and was treated with bacterium. I woke up two mornings ago with a little pimple by my lip.. No not herpes , I squeezed it no puss came out. Two days later my lip is all swollen and I’m afraid it might be MRSA again. I still have some of the medication left over so I started to take it but I wonder if I’m having an illergic reaction to something else and wanted to take benadryl ? Does anyone know if you can take benadryl while on bacterim ?

What Do You Think This Is?

Well, not me, but my friend. See she has this problem with her v-jj. She says that it’s dicolored (like purple) and its stretched out and big. She also said that the are bumps (look kinda like mini warts?) all around it and it gives a discharge (a yellow substance) and odor(Smells Funky?) And she said that she doesnt pee out of her clit? Also, she can see her cherry or hymen. She’s gone to the doctor and taken one of those pee & blood tests but nothing was detected and she has never had sex so it couldnt be llike herpes? Also, She puts paper towels down there so her underwear dont get stained because it’s so thick (& goo-ie) I know, it’s disgusting but PLEASE help.She said that she doesnt want to tell anyone so it would be a waste of time to say that & She is too young to see a gynocalagist . I know for a FACT she is a virgin please believe me!!!! & She did go to the doctor I was with her . She really needs any GOOD advice because her first ay of school is next week (high school)!!! One more thing, The lips or w.e the supposed to be pink thing has like little stuff on it not like any think that you can pop. it’s hard to explain! Could this be a yeast infection?

She’s had it for about 3 years. At first it was a little discharge and now its alot. . .

I have been tested for all STD’s including herpes, and hiv (bloodwork and urine samples) all negative results.I was even tested for BV and Yeast infections through a pap smears, nothing.. I’ve had no new partners since all these tests.

now heres my problem…

for the last 4 months in a row, a week and a half before my period, my area around the entrance of the vagina gets cherry red! and it burns when i touch it or wipe. However this month, it started again but right after my period ended (so the pain began right away). There is no discharge, no smell, no pain urinating, no itching. Basically, it only burns when i touch it. I can’t even enjoy sex with my boyfriend anymore because of the pain from the friction (even with ky lube!).

I took prescription medication for a UTI incase it was that, and then i tried canestan just to be sure it wasnt yeast. and it just wont go away!
i dont get it, no stds, no yeast, no bv, no uti… what else could it be? ive been going commando lately to let my vagina breathe but that still doesnt help. even changed soaps and laundry detergent. nothing helps!

why did this problem start only 4 months ago, and what is it thats making my vagina burn??

hey! about a month ago.. i had thrush symptoms (rash, itching, fissures) and then i took that one table thing, and after 3 days, the symptoms totally went away! i was so happy! but about a week ago i noticed a small fissure appearing again… i have no itchiness or anything, and no other symptoms have reoccurred like a rash or anything. but what does this mean? i haven’t been to the doctor, and i know i should, but im always too scared of what he will say
1. should i go back to the chemist and get another tablet?
2. is it a good sign that the symptoms totally went away after taking the medication. i.e. might not be herpes (i havent had unprotected sex, but i am sexually active)

Help me with this health problem..?
I have like an open sore down there that hasn’t healed. I have had it for more than 3 months. I went to the gynecologist and she told me that it might be folliculitis but she didn’t give me any medication or anything. I don’t know if a pain in my top of my leg is associated and a pain in my eyes has to do with it. I don’t think this could be herpes because i am still a virgin but i am really worried of what this can be.

EBV Ab VCA IgG 1306 EBV Nuclear Antigen Ab IgG 597 (all were 1-120 range choice) I for the past 6 years(same time I was diagnosed w/ Herpes 1 &2) have fatigue, tiredness/sleepiness on/off…more on than off w/ sleepiness and tiredness now, mouth blistering around mouth and in mouth a lot,(had blisters in my throat this wknd) hoarseness of voice, laringitis (sp?) sometimes, flu symptoms occasionally, feeling down for the count a lot, much depression, feeling like in the fog, can’t think of rest right now…but my reg doc says I have had past infection(according to bloodw) and should be ok and convelscent right now…not according to how I feel and my blisters & tiredness also w/o medication can’t sleep, have severe pain top of my neck,a few X’s a yr I get "itch all over my body that req’s steroids". origin is a mystery. I am a female, age 41 my reg bloodwork showed wbc and rbc ok my tsh was almost 4 Valtrex/no help. Does this sound familar?

ok is not a core sore or herpes or anything… they look like pimples but they are soooo small and numerous they are starting to get noticeable on my top lip….. I’ve had them for years, in time they have grown in numbers

does anyone know what to do or help? I went to my doctor and said he can burn them but there is a chance I will have a permanent scar… so no thanks doc

It’s on my left arm. It burns like crazy and I hardly get any sleep from scratching it. I got it yesterday out of nowhere I was sleeping and it just started itching and I couldn’t stop. There aren’t any red bumps and just above it there’s a small red patch. I was trying to look up what it could be, but then a stupid website gave me over 800 things including symptoms, what medication I should take and disease. It isn’t chicken pox or herpes or a ringworm so no funny jokes please and thank you.
