Since I get frequent cold sores, does that mean I am infected with the Herpes virus?
Ever since I can remember, I have been prone to cold sores. When I was young I would get them about every month or so and I was a frequent nail biter which I was told caused some of this due to germs and dirt entering the mouth.
I no longer bite my nails, but I still get cold sores on a frequent basis, about every few months one will show up.
Does this mean that I am infected with the Herpes virus or is it just how my body reacts to germs entering the mouth every so often etc.

Yes you do have a form of the herpes virus but not the same one as the STD. When you feel one coming on take 3 L-Lysine pills, 3 times a day, till the eruption disappears. This is an amino acid that your body naturally produces and somehow affects the lip/mouth/face variety of the virus. You can even take one pill a day as a preventive.
I dont think so..im not a doctor though so my opinion doesnt really matter haha
