Can a Doctor Mistake the Two?? Pleasseeee Read.?

Im 32 weeks pregnant with my daughter and just about a week ago I started to get a ridiculous itch down there with lots of cottage like discharge. So I went to my doc. and he told me it was just a yeast infection and gave me a 3day treatment…Ive used the treatment and the itching has almost gone away but not all the way, and now its Swollen down there, it burns a bit, and theres little bumps all over. Now I am a carrier of the herpes 1 virus (never have a break out, just hold the virus. caught it from using friends lip gloss, big mistake. dont borrow friends lip anything, seriously lol) so what Im wondering is could I be having a break-out down there from herpes that the doc mistook for a yeast infection or am i like allergic to watever the heck it was he gave me..?? please tell me your thoughts. no mean ones tho please…thank you
