i hadnt gotten this crusty outbreak for almost two years, and now i got it again.
its currently just sores.
is there something i can buy to get rid of it?
what can i do to make sure i dont have future outbreaks.
is having herpes on the lips considered really bad?
like as bad as genital herpes.
im only 13, so i dont know much about this kind of stuff.
its only on my lips though.
it hasnt spread to my skin ever.
about how long till it goes away?

No its not bad unless its type 2. 4 out of 5 people carry herpes type 1, some people will never experience a break out

on the lips/mouth it’s actually called cold sores or fever blisters.
It is the same as herpes except for 1 difference, and that is what action must take place to pass it. Genital herpes is only passed with sexual activity, because of it’s location.
Cold sores can be passed with casual kissing, sharing lip stick or chap stick, casual behavior such as that.
That would be a cold sore, which is a form of herpes. However, it’s not the same as genital herpes (there are over 100 kinds; even chickenpox is caused by a form of herpes) and doesn’t mean you’ve been participating in "naughty" behaviours. The most common way to get the virus that causes them is to share drinks, silverware, food, etc. with someone who carries the virus, or to kiss them or otherwise make contact with their lips. Time is the only thing that will get rid of an outbreak (although there are products that claim to speed up this process), and there isn’t much you can do to prevent it. One thing that will help prevent it, however, is to reduce the stress in your life, as they often show up when you’re very stressed.
